ONE HUNDRED BOTTLES OF BEER

On the wall! If one of those bottles should happen to fall, there'll be 99 bottles of Beer and so on. It is a popular song for youth at camp or in a singsong at a "get together". Perhaps adults like to sing it too. The movie- Ghost featured the song as the way Patrick Swayze's character was trying to get Whoopee's character to help him. It is a rather annoying song as it seems to go on and on. One can sing it for hours. I wonder who created the song. Does anyone know? Where did it originate? I do not think it is Canadian. Or perhaps it is!

  1. Wikipedia says it's derived from the English childrens song, Ten Green Bottles.

Ten green bottles sitting on the wall,
Ten green bottles sitting on the wall,
And if one green bottle should accidentally fall,
There'll be nine green bottles sitting on the wall.

You use which ever suits the length of the car ride with the kids.
