THE HOLLYHOCK

Is a happy flower to have in the garden. It blooms early summer and can stay until the snow flies. I have several plants with a variety of colours. My little granddaughter loves them.
They need to be pruned especially the leaves which can obtain rust. Do you have hollyhocks in your garden? Do you like how tall and majestic they become?

I even noticed the bees like the flower. I wonder if there is a hollyhock honey flavour. What do you think?

ONE HUNDRED BOTTLES OF BEER

On the wall! If one of those bottles should happen to fall, there'll be 99 bottles of Beer and so on. It is a popular song for youth at camp or in a singsong at a "get together". Perhaps adults like to sing it too. The movie- Ghost featured the song as the way Patrick Swayze's character was trying to get Whoopee's character to help him. It is a rather annoying song as it seems to go on and on. One can sing it for hours. I wonder who created the song. Does anyone know? Where did it originate? I do not think it is Canadian. Or perhaps it is!
