WATER-A HUMAN ELEMENT

Looking into the distance in this picture brings many contemplative thoughts. Water and earth are main elements of life. Sitting on the edge of a lake, river or ocean often brings humbling thoughts. Where is it leading? What lives in the water? What lives on the edge of the water? Water keeps us alive. We use it. Play in it. Swim in it. Travel on it. Before aviation, we travelled the earth on it. Still water gives us a sense of peace. Calm. Canada has many lakes and rivers. We are a fortunate people. Living near the water can have its hazards which can be seen by the flooding that can occur in spring runoffs or summer storms. Appreciating it is a force of nature to be respected keeps us vigilant. Homeowners know about water damage. Easier to anticipate a problem than fix one. Regardless a day on the water in a boat, canoe or rowboat is rather enjoyable. Sitting on a beach reading a book brings a relaxing thought. Water!
