DEMOCRACY MEANS YOU NEED TO VOTE

Right now in Canada we are in an election campaign for the vote on May 2, 2011. The candidates are talking and trying to get votes. Too often people get disillusioned with our politicians and the whole political system. But remember less than a hundred years ago women- suffragettes marched to get the vote for women in this country and other democratic countries such as Great Britain. People are protesting in the Middle East to try to oust dictatorships and find democracy. Whatever you do try to follow the campaign and when it is time, get out to vote. There are people and nations on this earth who would like the opportunity and the right. Do you take the vote for granted? Do you realize what a cherished privilege it is for you?
