BARB'S GENEALOGY TIDBITS-ADDISON STREET THE STREET WHERE I LIVE!!

Who was the Addison that my street was named after??

So the Grade 7 and 8 class of Ross Dian School visited Ottawa May 1964. Greeted by the MP for York North- John H. Addison. He was the MP from 1962 to 1968. He had worked with his father at City Buick and was associated with General Motors.
He did chair the Flag Committee in 1964 and helped Canada to obtain their modern day flag.
He died February 23, 2010.
So what is so interesting. Who would have thought when one of the students-me- whose head is half hidden on the left side of the picture would one day live on a street named after the MP.
None. If I could actually remember all the classmates in the picture??
