A TRIP TO THE SIP AND SIZZLE IN NIAGARA ON THE LAKE

What a fun day to visit Niagara wine country.

A May event at the wineries. Sample some wine with a bite to eat. I went with my daughter Sonya.
She has written about it on her blog and facebook page.

The first stop was The Wayne Gretzky Estates. Lots of sport memorabilia. Wine, whiskey and beer.
We sampled a 2016 Shiraz Cabernet with Grilled lamb on a bun. Jim helped with the serving and we had a friendly chat. Lots of photo opportunities.

Bought bottle of the rose. The clerk Rhonda was very friendly and attentive.

Walking around and some pictures outside then on to the next winery.
Trius just a short drive was next.
 Sampled Beef Kofta with a nice Merlot.

So I bought another rose wine, an appetizer and a summer hat.

So on to the next winery
Pillitteri Estates winery was another stop. We had done the full tour there last year so really went for the food. Lemon Chicken soulvaki with cucumber and yogurt with a Reisling Dry.

Sipped Wildass wine and munched on Grilled fennel and cucumber.

Loved the wood carvings by a wood craftier. Actually I have a piece of his work. I bought it years ago at the One of a Kind Craft Show in Toronto.

All the fields are just starting to bloom. Oh Ontario wine country- have to love it.
the Sip and Sizzle was just a May event. So if you missed it this year, watch for it next year. Now on to the town!!
