Isn't it fun being a tourist? A change from normal routine! Being somewhere else but home and having fun! Whether it is Europe in exotic places like Rome or south on a beach or north at a lake with a canoe- the touristy things make life interesting. Lots of pictures to give years of memories! Keeping the little souvenirs like tickets and flyers to put in scrapbooks or incorporate into photo books-the modern trend. Taking advantage of just being a tourist! Staying at a hotel with a view! Knowing a trip has been made somewhere! Something to talk about with your gossipy lunch crowd if you have one! Comparing notes on who has done more or seen more! Not caring if you look like a tourist! Sometimes even going to your own home town and pretending to be a tourist for the day. Like a trip to Harbourfront in Toronto can create that illusion!
