NANA SAYS THE EMPTY NEST HAS MANY LEVELS OF ADJUSTMENT

We have been empty nesters for several years now. Reflecting back on the process and adjustment, it took time to accept it. Actually when the girls were in their teens, there was the realization they were changing. They were growing from girls to women before our eyes. By the time the education and the weddings occurred, we were ready to be a couple again. Yes there were times the house seemed very quiet. Our happiness came knowing the children were doing well. It is strange that with grandchildren and the duties that come with grandparenting the nest seems less empty! After chaotic dinners and all the noise, the quiet is almost welcome! The empty nest always has an open door inviting loved ones back!

  1. What do you mean, "After chaotic dinners and all the noise, the quiet is almost welcome!"

    There's no "almost" about it!!!
