BRICKWORK-A TIMELESS SKILL

Old Brickwork on any building can be interesting. With visits to small towns or centers in larger cities in Canada, there are always opportunities to find interesting contrasts.

These photos are from the Distillary District in Toronto.

Ontario has clay soil that is very conducive to making brick, thus the abundance of brick homes. The old cobblestone roads were a form of brickwork.

For older buildings and Wonders of the World, try seeing The Colosseum in Rome or the Pyramids in Egypt- yep, brickwork!

Do you have favourite structures with brickwork?
