A NEW YEAR-A NEW START

January 1 always has such optimism attached to it. A day of college football and parades in the United States. Polar bear swims in the Toronto area. No matter how cold a bunch of people run into the cold water of  Lake Ontario for a dip. Some families have special family dinners. Others put away the Christmas decorations and stuff. Some just have a hangover from all the New Year celebrations. A statutory holiday so a day off work. January the month to return to normal activities. Often time to feel the post Christmas blues or try to plan a trip south to warmer climates. The first day just brings it home that opportunities abound.
