Families come in all shapes and sizes but none are without some conflict. Resolving those conflicts and learning to accept differences makes for a positive family life. Allowing space and togetherness are incongruous but work to allow for individual growth. When we look to the animal kingdom there are many models of families. The wolf has its pack. The lion has its pride. The antelope has its herd. The mother elephant cares for the others and keeps her baby close. Human children need the warmth and care of parents and a family group. Not perfect but important for emotional growth!
