MONDAY BRINGS CLOSURE TO THE WEEKEND
Monday mornings as the season changes and the lights need to be on as early routines are performed start to feel cumbersome. Get the day started so the work week will be in full swing again. Trying to pack 5 days into a 2 day weekend just does not work. I love it when I am on a roll with a project. However, the basic housekeeping tasks get done as it is difficult to do a project and clean at the same time. Unless of course the project is cleaning a corner of the house. Writing projects mean sitting and writing, editing and rewriting. They always take more time than anticipated. Organizing some family history means being methodical and citing the sources which takes the time it needs to take. So My mind is on the tasks accomplished from the weekend. Too bad work must get in the way!!

ORGANIZING FOR THE WORK WEEK
Mondays are always transition days from the weekend. To keep my mood positive, Sunday night is an opportunity to strategize what the week may entail- any special events, late meetings, need to shop for gifts and the normal week. Finishing little tasks help to bring some control in what may be ahead. I usually fold all the laundry done on the weekend- it is laundry catch up! This time of year is the challenge of changing the seasonal clothes but keeping some outfits in case the weather is chilly. So my side of the closet is organized- will be tackling Adolph's side within the week. Too cool for cottons but too warm for wooleys! Typical Canadian weather! Must be prepared for all! Some bills paid- Adolph can go to the bank with them. Not quite trusting of paying everything online yet but do have a lot that are preauthorized! I find this organizing helps me find the positive side of work life. By organizing my life and my thoughts, it is a real mental preparation despite whatever may be happening in my personal life. Does organizing the little things help you with your life? There are too many things I can not control but there are small tasks that keep me grounded. Do you have some tasks? I know people who have dogs, must walk the dogs so it helps with exercise and purpose. Is it a purpose or a drag? Do tasks help you find the positives in your life? I ironed a pile of Adolph's tops and when I saw it this morning there was a sense that something was accomplished- sounds silly but it gave me pleasure. Do you find pleasure in these normal activities of daily living?

A GLOOMY AND DARK MONDAY
Sometimes the weather fits our mood. Sometimes it does not! Mondays should be bright and beautiful so it does not feel like a Monday. However today it is dark and gloomy! On the inside and out! How is your Monday? Watch your drive to work and or anywhere! As a pedestrian, watch out for cars! Perhaps by noon the day will change! Wait and see!

LIVE LIFE TO LOVE
And love life while you live! I wrote this line back in High School under my picture in my Senior year in my School's yearbook. I really thought I was so mature and understood life's lessons. I read it now and realize it is not so easy to achieve. Sometimes we have events in our lives that make it difficult to love everything. Why? Some things are not worth loving. Sometimes we just live and get by. Love happens or not. There are days that are bearly tolerable- like someone experiencing raw grief. Then the moments that bring true joy and exhilaration! Finding someone or something to love does sustain us! It makes life wonderful! I try to look at many parts of my day with love. For example, Mondays can be intolerable. However, having been laid off twice in my career, I remember how it felt to get up on a Monday morning without a job- it was the worst feeling. Now I tell myself- I love Mondays- I have a job! By trying to love many ordinary moments in our lives, helps us to make a life fulfilled. Waiting for the big moments can waste a lot of good living! So loving life while you live may take some work. But it is worth the effort! Are you loving your life?
