We all need to win sometimes. In conflict there are theories are how to have win-win situations. However if there is a winner there is always a loser- so to speak. Competition means there are many participants but not everyone can be a winner. Olympics and team competitions mean that all the trying in the world does not make everyone a winner. Winning is a state of mind. Sometimes just being part of the competition pushes a person to do their best. A personal best is winning. Finishing the race, the interview, the completion is winning. Sometimes just getting through a tough meeting is winning! Many people feel like winners because they enjoy their jobs, like their families and live where they want. Maybe not having the best of everything but feeling good is winning! Of course winning the lottery is on many peoples' bucket lists. Yeah winning is better than losing but sometimes just good living is good enough? What do you think?

DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE OWED?
A living? Or do you owe life? It never ceases to amaze me how many people feel life owes them something for exisiting. Yes it is good to be paid back for a lifetime of hard work. But everyone who works hard does not get rewarded. Some people luck into easy riches-think of the children of wealthy established businesses! So do we feel sorry for ourselves or just grab onto what good we can find in life along with giving a hand to others to help them have some good times too! A recent trip to Niagara Falls gave a lesson of how the unrich can have a good time. Looking at a falls, enjoying visits to museums and eating out! A trip to the Cassino! No luxury needed to have a good time! Visits to the wineries and buying fresh fruit! Seeing the country side from a car! A lot of people looked happy, enjoying! Is life what you make it? Can life be good without having everything, whatever that would be? So do you feel you are owed?

LIVE LIFE TO LOVE
And love life while you live! I wrote this line back in High School under my picture in my Senior year in my School's yearbook. I really thought I was so mature and understood life's lessons. I read it now and realize it is not so easy to achieve. Sometimes we have events in our lives that make it difficult to love everything. Why? Some things are not worth loving. Sometimes we just live and get by. Love happens or not. There are days that are bearly tolerable- like someone experiencing raw grief. Then the moments that bring true joy and exhilaration! Finding someone or something to love does sustain us! It makes life wonderful! I try to look at many parts of my day with love. For example, Mondays can be intolerable. However, having been laid off twice in my career, I remember how it felt to get up on a Monday morning without a job- it was the worst feeling. Now I tell myself- I love Mondays- I have a job! By trying to love many ordinary moments in our lives, helps us to make a life fulfilled. Waiting for the big moments can waste a lot of good living! So loving life while you live may take some work. But it is worth the effort! Are you loving your life?
