APRIL BIRTHDAYS AND CAKE

Birthdays are fun because there is always cake and goodies. A time to celebrate the life of the person- big and small! Even if not a big event as long as there is cake, well then it is a festive time. Children love gathering around their cake with the lit candles to be able to blow them out. The Happy Birthday song! And how old are you? The favourites. So what is the history of the birthday cake! Perhaps I will do some sleuthing to find out!

    I like the old expression "let them eat cake" ... but you have to keep your head about you ... :)
