OLD WAGONS IN MODERN COLLINGWOOD-A VISIT TO BLUE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

An old wagon reminds us of time long ago. Needing a horse, a quieter ride. Fun for children in modern times to ride in a wagon. Do you remember watching the cowboy movies and the wagon trains with all one owned inside the wagon? Nostalgia is a fun thing too. Remembering old times while enjoying the modern times. Collecting old things and putting them in your modern home. Wearing vintage clothes to well- a vintage party or wonderful for Halloween. I don't know why but I love wood and product so wood. My house has a few antiques that are my treasures and yes have gone up in value. Don't you just love the old chairs in the wagon. This wagon is outside a store in the Village- Blue Mountain, Collingwood, Ontario. A fun place for a vacation or a day trip from the GTA.
There are many restaurants and fun things to do year round. It started as a ski area in the winter but now has a ride down the mountain-really a hill by western standards. With beaches on Georgian Bay nearby, one can visit the village before or after going to the beach. Lots of cute souvenir shops and activities for the guests. There is  a music venue where guest musicians play. Probably gives work to musicians of all levels. The day we visited there were fun events for children like drumming by Brenda Bettie. I took her card. My daughter and grandsons sure enjoyed doing some drumming with her for a while.
I like the way old things fit in with the new things. Ontario is full of history and Collingwood area has lots to offer.
Are you going to places close to you? It is a way to help local businesses and crafters and musicians make a living, isn't it?
