Yes be vigilant in public places. Don't walk down dark alleys in strange places or even your home community. Don't drive on dark highways in the middle of the night- higher incidences of drunk driving! So have some safety rules.
If a woman,for example, get escorted to your car after night meetings. Park under good lighting.
But live. Go out. Travel. By keeping yourself safe, help to keep others safe.
Remember the boy in a bubble story. His immune system would not let him live outside the bubble. Metaphorically many people try to put themselves in this safe bubble of life. It really does not exist. Even with all the organic food and exercise, people get illnesses, stuff. There is no guarantee that nothing bad can happen to you! It is how life can be embraced and lived. Taking on all the stuff. Finding what can be managed alone and what needs help. So buy a child's bubble kit and go make some big and small bubbles and blow them to the air. See where they go.
