PINK FLOWERS IN THE SPRING CAN BE FOUND AROUND RICHMOND HILL ONTARIO CANADA

Love the pink green tulips

Pink flowering trees along many streets

Mt. Pleasant park with playground equipment and a row of pink trees.
More pink trees around the park and police station on Major MacKenzie Drive

Garden displays of pink tulips.

 Pink tree in a closeup.

So many flowering bushes and trees abound throughout the Hill.

How about you? What is flowering in your area?

FUN AT A SOCCER GAME

There is a first for everything.

So the first Toronto FC game on Saturday with family.

Toronto lost but only in the last two minutes. Soccer players sure run and run.

The fans in the standing section jumped and chanted to the drums for the 90 minutes. Let my little grandson bounce around in his seat.

My daughter bought me a FC shirt so I looked like a nerdy fan.

Fun to be out but a little anxious without my mask when a man sat beside me who was big and too close.

I like to be outside without a mask but still use one in indoor places.

I liked it better when I knew everyone was vaccinated.

The FC games are family friendly affordable. Not like other sports events with astronomical prices for a ticket.

BMO field is covered so not sitting in the sun for the whole game.

Fun to be with family and downtown by the lake. So pretty.

Toronto is such a vibrant city. Lots of people biking, walking roller blading along the lakeshore.

WAIKIKI 51 YEARS LATER

I love all the shows on TV that feature Hawaii.

Adolph and I honeymooned in Hawaii May 16 to May 26 1971.

Photos on our brownie camera.

Stayed on Oahu at a cheap economy hotel. Could cook our own food if we wanted.

Met two ladies on the beach that I sent cards for a good 40 years. Dorothy and Marge. Dorothy from Victoria BC and Marge from Portland Oregon. They took our only couple picture on the beach.

Kuhio Beach, Waikiki.

Always loved this vintage photo from 1910 I bought in a photo album.

I bought this large postcard on our Honeymoon.

The amount of hotels was evident. The photo was from 1970.

This vintage photo shows the beach less cluttered with a historic hotel.

Oh the memories of Hawaii. With my new husband! Do I have a bucket list dream? Yes to take my family there on a family vacay!!

JUST A DATE ON A CALENDAR OR IS IT?

We all have special days and memories in our lives.

Yes there is Christmas and the last day of school. Your birthday.

For me it is my wedding day, the birth of my girls.

Happy days. Lots of pictures and memories.

The dates I shy away from are the death dates. Not the happiest days of my life.

So today is my anniversary day. May 15, 1971 was one of the happiest days of my life.

Married my High School sweetheart. My sister told me I was gloating because the day to be his wife was finally here. I look at the pictures and see Adolph beaming. I think he was really happy too.

In photos I look for that cheesy smile on other occasions.

So today is more than a date on the calendar for me.

How about you? Do you have special dates on your calendar?

HOW TO TAKE BETTER PHOTOS! PHOTOS BECOME INTERESTING WITH AN OBJECT LIKE A DUTCH BIKE

Sonya took this interesting photo of tulips in a Dutch bike.

I have studied various photographers ideas and suggestions for better photos.

Like putting something in a sunset or sunrise picture.

The boat just adds to the sunset picture doesn't it??

A water scene with one sailboat in full sail.

A woodlot path with a boat in the distance.

Fun to have an eye for creative photos.

HOBBIES QUIET THE MIND

Organizing my stamps recently has done wonders for my mind and soul.

I am trying to go through areas of my life that can be organized to leave for my grandchildren.

Little collectables can be divided now so there is little to down the road.

Selling, donating, putting on the curb are ways to reduce the many items I have.

Writing and sitting at my computer has been difficult with the warm weather outside.

Yard work is slowly getting tackled. I must admit it is so boring to rake and put grass from the beds. Gardens are beautiful but lots of work.

So indoor hobbies that can be done in the early morning hours. Like 5 am. I am getting up early again. So it gives me stuff to do at that time.

My mind needs quieting. Too many thoughts just cause anxiety. So working on the hobbies has been helping.

The warm weather is inviting. Going outside just to sit is to energizing.

How about you? Do you have hobbies that help with your mood?

LILY'S PROMISE-A BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

I saw the clip about Dov and his great-grandmother Lily who survived the Holocaust on TV a few months ago.

So I ordered 6 copies of the book.

For family and for the 6 grandchildren to donate to their schools

The cover is beautiful and gives a statement about its contents.

A 98 year old champion who survived. Because she did there are many family members alive today.

Anyone that is interested the book is available online from sites like Indigo Chapters. It is published by Harper Publishing.
