RICHMOND HILL YONGE STREET IMAGES

I love this picture from the Toronto public library1965 in downtown Richmond Hill. Basically it is still as congested today.

Yonge and Major Mackenzie as it was 20 years ago.

Yonge and Harding before life changed in the Hill.

The view from my house on Addison before Sunrise was built at the corner.

Images looking north from Harding on Yonge. The Steer In is visible on the left. A popular hamburger and fries locale for decades in Richmond Hill.

2018 Yonge and Hopkin. Trees cleared for the Rapid Transit system.

2019 construction on Yonge Street between May Avenue and Harding.

2020 Yonge Street Construction.

Construction workers busy on Yonge.

The intersection at Yonge and Harding. How nice is this!!

Sidewalks and garden boxes waiting for plants. Of course to do all this construction they took out tons of trees along Yonge Street.
The bus terminal for the Rapidway at Yonge and Hopkin.
2021 images near my home.

Dotted lines to follow when making a turn. It is so no one turns into the bus lane.

A green light! It's a go!!

The old Richmond Hill has not changed much.
Along Yonge with the steeple from the United Church in the distance.
Wright Street
Historic Building now house Covernotes Cafe!

So with the rapidway construction finished, it is time to venture out and see what else is happening in the City.
