Life is not always orderly. Transplanting a small Elm tree from the garden brought a renegade squash plant with it. Do you ever find yourself doing one thing and another thing creeps in? Like the saying the best laid plans of mice and men! Looking for order is a life long pursuit. However it is so vital to be flexible and able to deal with the other challenges that present themselves. I had the choice to take out the squash plant but said- what the heck, let's see if any vegetables would grow. The plant will die with the frost but the Elm tree will flourish and be planted somewhere in the garden. Sometimes those random things do make life interesting, don't they?
