END OF OCTOBER- TIME FOR CHRISTMAS AND WINTER PREPARATIONS

 Time to clean the garage.

Time to think about Christmas lights.

Two November birthdays.

Time for an Arts Festival.

Will there be some church bazaars?

What fun will there be?

October has been a good month. Not all projects finished. Not all projects started.

But some things done. Some things needing to be done.

So goodbye October. It has been nice knowing you!!

HALLOWEEN TODAY- HAVE FUN

For children, Halloween is such a fun time.

Dressing up.

Sugar high from too much candy.

I am looking forward to the children coming to my door.

The costumes are so cute.

The children are so cute.

I never minded older children coming around. It means they are staying out of trouble.

So Happy Halloween everyone!!

READY FOR A REAL HALLOWEEN AGAIN- WELL MOSTLY

I plant to give out Halloween treats safely.

Wear a mask.

Put wipes and sanitizer outside.

Keep my distance.

I made little goodie bags for the kids.

I am glad some degree of normalcy has returned.

How about you? Are you ready for Halloween?

THE LANGUAGE OF MUSKOKA CHAIRS

 Muskoka chairs are so Canadian.

Meetings.
By the beach.
On a deck.
At the Exhibition.
At Grand River.
Pan Am Games.
Finding those chairs at Farmer's markets.

Where do you find your Muskoka Chairs?

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO-I CAN DO BETTER OR NOT

The need for everyone to know everything about everything permeates in the TV media.

Newscasters and talk show hosts and others try to come across like they know everything or have done everything.

For example, the plane landing on the 407 yesterday. The pilot was experienced and amazing.

So what happens one of the hosts on CTV had to talk about her pilot training and how they were taught about emergency landings etc.

Not an experienced pilot but a morning talk host.

Talk show hosts or news show hosts are not influencers. They report, ask questions and discuss.

Is anyone else tired of the need for so many to have a story about everything.

Or anything you can do I can do better or have done better or know better!!

Thoughts??

EARLY RISING MAKES FOR A LONG DAY

Waking at 5 AM most days now for some reason makes for a long day.

So an early rising it is!

Rather than lay in bed and think about things, I get up.

Make coffee.

Listen to the radio then CTV news from the night previously.

Washed, dressed and ready for the day at 610 AM.

Staying motivated to get things done is so difficult. There are many tasks to do but so many of them are boring. Like garden cleanup. The garage to make room for my car over the winter.

So being ready for the day gives me a false sense to tackle those tasks.

As I age I have the sense not to waste a day. I have life so make the best use of it.

COVID kept us at home and away from places, people and enjoyable outings. It is time to rejoin life- safely.

Finishing projects is a go. I do like an uncluttered house. So trying to tidy as I go.

How about you? Do you rise early? How do you tackle the tasks in your life?

WRITING A COVID STORY

Covid has been around for over 18 months now.

So I am writing up my Covid story.

Using pictures taken over the last 18 months.

My personal events. My family thoughts.

Using my locale of Richmond Hill and not further abreast.

No pictures of nurses or staff in ICU.

Community pictures of signs and times.

Examples.

A closed down playground.

Thank you signs popping up everywhere.

And so the time has gone by.

So yesterday determining what was missing from my story went out and about capturing additional photos. Mr. Greek and Mexican Amigas were two patios where I went with family to eat outside. Entered masked. Sat down distanced from others.

As happens with history, this too shall pass. So having the images from our stories of covid has been a project.

How about you? How are you recording your covid story? What thoughts? What images?

Would you consider writing one for future generations in your family?
