Or do we. Last night the full moon was a rare one as it occurred on the summer solstice! Meat can be cooked rare to keep it tender. There are rare coins and stamps that we would like to have as an extra source of income. With billions of people on the earth it is hard to be rare. We are told there is someone who looks like we do somewhere. A doppleganger! Or a fifth cousin once removed- genealogy and genetics tell us we are related to many other people on this earth! A rare flower! A rare bird! Fitting in to school or the workplace or a friendship circle means we can have our own uniqueness but there must be enough commanlity to belong. We get asked on a survey how often we do something- always, sometimes, rarely! Sometimes we want to fly under the radar and not be noticed! Keeps us safe! So do we want to be rare or one of the bunch! Your call!!
Welcome
Inspiration for this blog came from my cousin Roy. His daily reflections of the events in his life have been thoughtful and interesting. Family, friends, colleagues are welcome to read my blog.

DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN

Is a common phrase and actually could save you heartache. There are many situations where we can be caught off guard. Wishing we had not reacted to something negatively or said something regretted later are the fallout. My solution to a question asked in public, for example, could be let me think about it and I'll get back to you later! Or just pausing and looking at the person before answering to gather your thoughts. We do not owe anyone our private information or even have to share our personal business with everyone. It is better to know you trust the individual before sharing. There are malicious people who do wait for a moment to catch someone off guard. Beware but know who trust! Do you have a story to share of how you kept your cool?
