MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY- WE NEED HIS WORDS MORE THAN EVER

 Growing up through the 1960s and seeing Dr. King on TV often brought the views of racism to the forefront.

Hard to believe the racial divide in the US is so prominent today.

As a Canadian we have our issues too. We need to continue to foster racial equality and justice.

Listening to some of his speeches today brings the awareness for us all to be tolerant, to be aware and show in our words, deeds and actions how important it is to continue forward.

BLUE MONDAY- IS IT REALLY WITH ALL THIS SUN SHINING?

So January 20th which is also Martin Luther King Jr day is supposed to be Blue Monday. The day the bills come in from Christmas. Tired of winter.

But the sun is shining. The snow is cleared from the road and driveway.

Life seems good and bearable.

How to cope in winter? Well embrace it. Do something.

Eat cake.

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

Americans are celebrating the day. I hope all Americans. For me Martin Luther was on the news in my teen years. I embraced his messages. He made me aware of the cause of the black people not only in America but everywhere. He fought for others not just black people. Poor people. The need for tolerance and justice. His speeches and messages are so poignant today. If time go to You Tube or just research on the Internet and revisit his messages.
I wonder if he would be happy on what is happening in America today. Would he buy Michelle Obama's book?
