Welcome

Inspiration for this blog came from my cousin Roy. His daily reflections of the events in his life have been thoughtful and interesting. Family, friends, colleagues are welcome to read my blog.

GOODBYE TO 2016-HELLO TO CANADA'S 150TH BIRTHDAY 2017

2016 is in its last legs. 2017 will be the 150th anniversary birthday year  of Canada. As one way to celebrate the year I will be trying to find 150 ways to share why I am proud to be Canadian. The Canadian government has #Canada150 to talk about their role in celebrating. Communities all across this great nation will find their own way to celebrate. So Barb's Relective150 will begin tomorrow. Along of course with my other blog themes and whimsical ideas will continue to prevail. I continue to enjoy blogging, photography, family times, genealogy, crafting! Too bad work gets in the way! A blessing is to be here, able bodied to share with everyone. They always talk about the celebrities that have died. In our family group, Adolph's second cousin died at age 49 in September- Laura will be missed by all. I am sure her family continues to be saddened missing her this holiday season. So how are you going to celebrate the New Year? Are you missing anyone? So goodbye 2016! It was a good year!

AMERICAN ELECTION DAY 2016

Canadians follow American politics too much. As our neighbour, their politics do affect us. Everyone does have an opinion on whom they want to win. Of all the neighbours to have I am glad they are Americans. Good people, hard working! Back to the election!  For me, my thoughts have been, out of 350 million people these were your best choices? Democracy at its best, I guess! I will miss the Obamas, I found Michele to be a classy lady. No real scandals so I guess that may have bothered some people who like dirt! So America no matter what, get out to vote! If you don't then do not complain about any elected official! As for many Canadians, we may be hauling bricks to build that wall!!
