GARDEN BEAUTIES-WHITE AND PURPLE

Flowering bushes and garden beauties make June a colourful time.

Some wild flowers that adorn the green.

The Snowball bush with its lovely white.
My purple Iris.
An out of focus Iris with the jungle background.

Oh those purple images. The bees and butterflies love their purple flowers.

How is your garden looking these days?

JUNE MOVING ALONG AND HOPE FOR MORE OPENINGS

With June seeing more vaccinations everywhere- local, provincial, national, world- well life seems to be emerging.

Like the butterfly from the cocoon! We are finding our wings and maybe can fly.

Well not quite there. But seeming to feel like there is an end to the tunnel. Not a light yet.

I will wear a mask. And distance. And wash my hands until the cows come home. No problem.

To be able to connect with others again is the joy.

Sure ZOOM has done its thing. Meetings prevailed.

Social. To be social. Well it is important to me.

Living alone means those social connections have more meaning.

So here we go June- keep moving along!

How are you doing in your area? Are you feeling like life is slowly returning?

EARLY MORNING RISING

The construction on the street had a machine being floated at 4 am. So I got up to greet the day.

A cup of coffee and watched the sun rise.

Listened to the birds and the sounds of the day beginning.

Thinking about my limited plans for the day.

What else could I get accomplished?

Hard to believe June seems to be rushing by!!

How about you? How is your June going? Are you making summer plans right now?

THE LITTLE THINGS MATTER

So with cremation and no grave site, how to honour Adolph.

So put a plaque on a park bench.

It was the park where Adolph and I take the grandchildren near our house to play.

It was called Grandpa's park by the grandchildren.

And well it still is!

IS NOT HAVING AN OPINION ABOUT EVERYTHING OKAY??

It seems that too much is said about everything.

A post on Twitter or Facebook or an Instagram setting can bring lots of opinions.

Why not just acknowledge. Read your post. It helps those making a living to have comments.

But they do not have to be opinion comments.

Lately I just emoj a comment. Let's the person know I am with them.

I like hearts. They work. If there is sadness let's that person know thinking of them.

Also safer on Twitter to say very little too. Lots of Trolls ready to pounce.

I do have lots of thoughts or opinions in my head. But I feel more inclined to try to listen and be with a person rather than needing to jump in to hear the sound of my voice.

So do you have an opinion about this post?

AS OUTDOOR PATIOS OPEN REMEMBER TO TIP WELL

I love to go out occasionally.

So with patios open for dining remember these businesses need all our support.

Be a good tipper to your server!

It has been a dry spell for them.

MORNING WALKS REJUVENATE THE SOUL

Getting out and walking before too many people hit the streets helps with the start of a joyous day. It is the one that includes a hill. Good for the legs.

I like to encounter few people when I walk.

The physical distancing can be tricky. Not needing to wear the mask I have around my wrist keeps me free.

My walk is mostly just for exercise. The faster I walk the faster I return home.

My body feels it.

Sometimes I try to relish in the moment and listen to all the sounds around me. There are several bird species that chirp and sing in one field I go by.

The traffic sounds hum along on one stretch along Major Mackenzie. I like to get away from that stretch quickly as I am too visible to others.

I do not wear any tight, skimpy gear for my walks. I am not trying to make a fashion statement.

So I am trying to get out earlier every day so I can start on my other duties of the day.

My afternoon walk is on a flat surface and has some trees for shade. The noon sun can be quite hot at times.

Walking is easy. Now to try to include some stretches and weights in my daily routine is next.

How about you? Do you like walking? If so how far do you go?
