COVID19 AND TREES OF HOPE IN RICHMOND HILL ONTARIO CANADA

I first noticed these trees by the hospital last weekend-Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.

 Trees along Trench Street.
I quickly stopped to snap some pictures.

Put up by the Belviso Family as part of @abbeysgoal. #RainbowRevolution to bring some joy, hope and thanks to workers at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and to the community

So I did a walking tour May 21 2020 to snap pictures.

Trees in front of Alexander Mackenzie High School.
 Along Trench Street.

I had wanted to get a photo of the COVID Assessment Centre at the hospital as well.

Fence at Day Care with a thank u!!

Trees along Major Mackenzie.

House near Mill Pond with the rainbows.

People waiting outside Harding Medical Building to go to Life Labs.

Inspired to make my own tree of hope, I looked through all my plastic bags, old table clothes to find colours of the rainbow.

Since one of my neighbours thought it was about the LGBTQ community, I am making a sign for my tree to let others know it is about HOPE and the rainbow of hope.
So are you going to make a rainbow tree of hope??

DOES COVID19 MAKE YOUR WORLD VIEW A LITTLE SLANTED?

We all talk about getting back to normal. That normal will not exist.

No matter what! We will see how our lives have changed.

Not necessarily for the better.

Different will be the norm. It really depends on how one survives this crisis.

Losses are losses. So if health or death or unemployment those losses will have an impact.

Staying home with loved ones may have brought everyone closer or further apart. Look at the rise of domestic violence.

Trying to be everything to family members is tough. Actually more than tough.

Will we appreciate each other more? Time will tell.

So is your life a little slanted! What are your thoughts?

SOME MORE COVID-19 RICHMOND HILL ONTARIO IMAGES

A tour around The Hill on May 13 2020.

I wanted to take some pictures of the house on Yonge Street that may be deemed for demolition

Dr. Duncumb's Hall at 10027 Yonge Street.

Constructed between 1857 and 1861 it is one of the earliest masonry structures in the then Village of Richmond HIll.

While doing my walking tour I found some signs of the time.

Signs at Sunrise on Yonge Street.

The Soldier continues to salute. Richmond Hill United seen in the distance.
McConaghy Centre closed to all activities.

Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is closed.

Yonge Street shops.

Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital in the distance.

Major Mackenzie with the Police Station, Fire Hall and Ambulance Bay.

A Child's art on a tree!!

 The playground still closed.

Keeping an eye for the happenings in the City by foot gives a different perspective then just the virtual world on the computer.
It is a day in the life of The Hill.

49- WHAT'S IN A NUMBER?

Today May 15th is our 49th Anniversary.

We made it. The last two years seemed dubious due to health issues. But here we are.

A simple celebration at home.

We honeymooned in Hawaii.

Our 25th was in Rome.

Our 40th To Montreal and Ottawa.

Many dinners and flowers and fun celebrations for the last 49 years.

The good, the bad and the ugly too!!

Two daughters, 6 grandchildren, two sons-in-law, family, friends- well life has happened.
Happy Anniversary to us!!
