Southern Ontario has been enjoying warmer seasonal weather. Cool but no boots and winter coats yet. However we are told that the snow is coming Sunday. Good thing my garage has a spot for the car and most of the yard work has been done. Maybe another bag or two of leaves to go! Lots of activities to do inside. But the shovels, salt and other winter paraphernalia are ready. I try to think like a child and get excited about snow. I do not try to think about the months of winter to be endured. Embracing the change in weather helps with the adjustment. Finding indoor and outdoor activities such as snow shovelling the driveway keeps me grounded! Pretending it is fun makes it bearable. Don't forget for the photographers in all of us, winter photos are beautiful. Just have to be able to drive to some good spots to get the photos!
A little reminder of what is to come!!
Welcome
Inspiration for this blog came from my cousin Roy. His daily reflections of the events in his life have been thoughtful and interesting. Family, friends, colleagues are welcome to read my blog.

GOODBYE TO MAY 2014
April showers bring May flowers. Bold, beautiful are the spring bulbs, the budding trees and flowering bushes. What does May bring? Well more of the same as we edge into June. A colder May than normal at the start, it turned into lovely seasonal weather. Able to go out in shorts and bare arms is a delight after cooler weather. Gardens coming along. The local park is dry so Nana can take the grandkiddies to play as a welcome break when they are over. Using my trek trolley to walk to some nearby stores to try to fit in as much exercise as possible. Just enjoying the time of sun and fun. Of course there is lots to do as usual but nicer days just give such a change in mood and attitude. As everyone who knows me, knows May is my favourite month. So I do feel a little sad to say goodbye to it. How are you doing with the season? Are you enjoying the opportunity to be outside in the garden? Or are you one of those sufferers of seasonal allergies? Hope not!
