ONE MORE MAY DAY

As May is coming to an end, the month has been a variety of weather, flowers and happenings. The brown tree branches are now full of every shade of green- often wish I was an artist and could paint all of them. The orchestra of spring bulbs fading to spring flowers to summer plantings! The vegetable garden is slowly being planted. A wonderful long weekend enjoyed by all. Canadians hoping the fires in the west will be under control so our fellow Canadians in Fort McMurray can return home and start the rebuilding of their community! For me some home projects and two small writing projects finished. The word finished always brings a sense of relief. Sometimes looking at what needs to be done can be more tiring than just finishing! The work of finishing does bring some energy to it! There is a need to get lots done in the next month. I have a deal with myself that once summer arrives to do some fun stuff that can involve just sitting and reading in the lazy days of summer. Doing slow activities like swimming in a pool or lake. Sitting on a beach. Slow walks or maybe early morning power walks. Taking in the view. Finding those interesting photo opportunities. More micro than macro photos. No need to climb a mountain to get the scenic view! Of course those day trips or just 1/2 day trips that bring little travel but adventures need the less! Some family will be visiting in June so time to catch up with all the news! So goodbye May- my favourite month and hello June with all the frenzy of the end of school, birthdays and other work projects!

  1. Every month is great but I love June ... great to get out, great to sit on the deck with a mosquito repeller, the mutts, and, maybe, a cooler ...
