REMEMBERING TRIPS TO ITALY

So one family is touring Italy today. There for 10 days.

Their photos from Rome bring back so many memories of Adolph and I visiting there three times.

Before we went to Rome, we had visited his hometown of Cassino.

Adolph 1991 by his school in Cassino.

Pages I made for our Anniversary album.

So many images of Italy.

Makes me want to look at my travel albums again.

Oh Roma Bella.

COLDPLAY CONCERT TORONTO WITH A GRANDDAUGHTER

So I attended the Coldplay concert in Toronto at the new Rogers Stadium with my 20 year old granddaughter.

Loved the concert.

Lots of walking and then stairs in the venue.

But a great show and great night.

Sonya found us in the crowd from across the stadium
Look for the yellow shirt 10 rows up in the bottom quarter. It was Sonya, Drew and grandsons.
Waiting for the show.

Our arm bracelets made the lights come on.

All in all a great night.

SUMMER WALKS ARE GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Loving my morning walks. It just feels right to be out of the house and enjoy the neighbourhood.

Also feeling grateful for all the help Canada is receiving from other nations like Australia, Mexico, Costa Rica, New Zealand, United States to assist our Canadians fire fighters coast to coast to coast.

On a walk the ideas of gratitude stream into my consciousness.

I see nature. I hear sounds. I reflect on life as I pant my way up the hill to the Library.

So feeling the good vibes of the walks.

CANADA DAY 2025- SEVERAL HOURS AT RICHMOND GREEN RICHMOND HILL ONTARIO CANADA

So going to celebrate for  few hours at the local venue enabled me to take some good photos.

City of Richmond Hill staff making sure the day runs smoothly

Some artists at vendor tables.
Kettle corn. Bought a large bag for a grandson.
There are pretty paths to wander away from the crowds.
Always lots of music.

Now all the staff are smiling.

A happy security guard.

Some Canadian images. Always love to find Muskoka chairs.

How was your Canada Day?

NANA SAYS PREVIOUS SIGNS CAN BE FOUND- I LOVE YOU GRANDPA ON THE SIDEWALK

On my morning walk up and around the library then down the hill to the park where my grandchildren played in the bench for Adolph.

So each time I pass the bench I stop and give a little kiss to the plaque on the bench for him.

Today there was a precious chalk drawing on the sidewalk near the bench.

Did some young child see me blow a kiss? Or did the child like the idea it was for a Grandpa?

Whatever the reason, it touched my heart today. I needed to take a photo.

So I did and am sharing with you.

Is there anything that touched your heart today?

JUNE 2025 MEMORIES

June with its birthdays of two grandchildren.

A daughter graduating university with a second degree and four children.

Terry Fox Ride of Hope comes through Richmond Hill.

Grandson a pallbearer at a friend's father funeral.

Two community group events.

The Police event collecting food and items for the Food Bank.

Those were the fun events. Of course I had the usual gardening, cleaning, paying bills. Just saying.

CANADA DAY JULY 1 2025- SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE

Well we are still standing as a nation.

Threats from the bully from the South have become more than obnoxious.

Our new Prime Minister and all the newly elected are doing a great job in securing our future.

Proud Canadian now and forever.

#158 since Confederation. 4 provinces joining- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario.

Others followed in the years that followed.

Enjoy our special day!!
