BARB'S GENEALOGY TIDBITS-BALL POINT-THE NATIVE BATTLE OR NOT

The Ball Point story has many aspects. In my years of research on the history of the family property, I have followed several trails. This article deals with the story of a major Indian battle being fought in our little cape on Lake Scugog, Mariposa Township, Victoria County-now the City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario,Canada. I use the word Indian as it was the word at the time. Now we would use First Nations. This article will use the tribe's names.

I will continue to write about the other wonderful stories and finds on the little cape of Ball Point.
