A Carnation is a flower that last longer than others. Fresh cut in a vase adding life to a room, it brings some needed colour to the home. From red to white to pink, the variety is good. It can be a flower of remembrance. My girls had them in the front pew in the church at their weddings as remembrance of people no longer with us or unable to come to the service. For hospitalized patients, not only does it last but has no smell so does not take away the air in their rooms nor affect people with allergies to flowers. Those who garden it can be grown along with many other flowers. Oh Carnation-lovely!
