What a fun week to celebrate the profession I have chosen. An open house, a luncheon, sweatshirts and giving out gift bags to all the units the social workers provide care and support. Do you know a Social Worker? Well, remember to celebrate the profession. You can find social workers in hospitals, schools, welfare agencies, protecting abused children and women, in mental health clinics and units, as family and marital therapists, on trauma teams- just to name a few places and roles. The theme in Ontario this year is getting people back on track! If you need some assistance getting someone back on track call your nearby Social Worker. Yeah- Happy Social Workers' Week!
