CANADIANS HELPING CANADIANS

During the crisis in Alberta with the mega fire in Fort McMurray, Canadians are stepping up to the plate with financial, resource, people and emotional support to the 80,000 plus evacuees. People in Edmonton have opened their doors and hearts. Water, food, shelter are the main stay. The First Responders- the firemen, the forest fire fighters- many are arriving from other parts of Canada, the police, the Armed Forces, the health care professionals,  the private companies with equipment are just some of the forces that are called to the Front to fight the fires. All caring Canadians are on standby to do whatever they can to assist. The simplest thing is a donation to Canada Red Cross where the people on the ground can put the money towards needed resources. Donations in kind are coming in to the temporary housing facilities. Oh Canada we are proud of you all. After the crisis, infrastructure to help those rebuild their homes, their businesses, their lives will be needed and supported. Give a hand up when help is needed.  Any suggestions on what else can be done to assist those affected! If you are affected by the crisis, give us your stories and thoughts as well as let us know what we can do to help!
